Welcome to your safe space for Quranic learning. Our curriculum and engaging methodology combine the science of speech with the art of intoning The Quran (Tajweed). We focus on articulatory phonetics to develop and train your vocal ranges. By the grace of Allah, students walk away mastering the manners of articulation (ṣifat al-ḥurūf) and emission points (makhārij al-ḥurūf) found in The Noble Quran.

COMMON QUESTIONS ABOUT OUR TAJWEED COURSE
“Tajweed: An Interactive Approach" course will begin middle of March 2022. Registration will open February 2022. Live classes will be held weekly on Fridays beginning at 7pm EST.)
We understand that Tajweed Rules can be intimidating. But we make it approachable by training your vocal ranges (using articulatory phonetics. Our curriculum and engaging methodology combine the science of speech with the art of intoning The Quran (Tajweed). Our students evolve with a new approach to their Quranic learning.
Approximately 14 weeks. We are happy to offer a 30-day refund policy before the class officially begins. However, once classes commences, please contact us at info@marhouminstitute.com
There are no prerequisites for joining this course. Each student begins at the level appropriate for them. However, we highly recommend you check our short Fatiha Course as supplementary material. It’s free and and it's a great mental warm up
Absolutely! There can be conflicts sometimes, it happens.That shouldn’t come in the way of your dedication to learn! We will upload recordings of the live sessions where you can also access them via the Marhoum App.
Your registration is active for the duration of the course. The month-to-month plan will provide you with extended access.
We designed this course for Adults (18 and up). However, Parents that would like their children to get a head start, we recommend that only children 15 and above be registered for this course. We will also administer a Quran assessment to make sure this course will benefit your child Parents are urged to use discretion when signing their child up for the program.
Our course is for students where English is their first language. It is designed to help you recognize, assemble, and construct the Arabic letters so that you can read the Quran with ease
You will submit weekly recordings of your recitation, which will be evaluated by Imam Abdellah Marhoum and the course TAs, and you will receive weekly personalized feedback. Our evaluation is hands-on with each student receiving weekly, individualized feedback.

DIFFICULT FOR OURSELVES?
Current processes of learning The Quran can be quite intimidating. Understandably, we have immense respect for the official guidebook of Islam. We want to learn The Quran and live by it in its purest form. However, we might sometimes forget that The Author of this Blessed Book is The Most Merciful and The Most Compassionate. A book penned by Allah must be approachable to everyone.
If we implore The Quran, we find The Author balances linguistic complexity with melodic simplicity to serve as a comprehensive guide for all humanity. In fact, Allah asserts in His book, verse 17 of “The Moon” Chapter:
“And indeed, we have eased the (language) of The Quran for remembrance; so who then shall be mindful?"
Whether you consider yourself a novice or an advanced student of The Noble Quran, you will find our Tajweed class a safe and nurturing space for your Quranic voice.
